Description: Kukui is an exotic plant abundant in the tropical regions of Madagascar, especially on the East coast. This precious plant gives birth to Kukui oil, extracted by cold pressing the almond from its nut. Thanks to its rich composition in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and omega-6, this oil nourishes the skin and makes it more supple. The exceptional penetrating power of this dry vegetable oil allows deep hydration, leaving your skin soft, smooth, and radiant.
250,000 hectares of Malagasy forests disappear each year, meaning that at this rate of destruction, the forests will have completely vanished in a decade. The main reasons for deforestation are slash-and-burn agriculture, illegal logging for precious woods and construction materials, wood collection for charcoal production, and clear-cutting for mining.
In our intervention area in the Southeast and South of Madagascar, Renala collects from over 15 hectares of certified organic Kukui cultivation, and our goal is to expand the cultivation area to contribute to reforesting Madagascar.
