Description : The Prickly Pear, also known as Raketa by the Malagasy, is a spiky cactus belonging to the Cactaceae family thriving in the South of Madagascar. The oil extracted from the seeds of this cactus is a cosmetic treasure due to its restructuring and nourishing properties, providing unparalleled benefits for the skin. It is considered a miraculous anti-aging product, combating wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, and under-eye bags. Prickly Pear seed oil is a rare and precious product: to produce one liter of oil, more than 1000 kg of fruits are needed, making it one of the most expensive oils in the world.
In our intervention area in the South of Madagascar, where the population is particularly vulnerable, suffering from kéré, chronic famine due to drought exacerbated by climate change, our goal is to fight malnutrition and improve the income of thousands of rural families to help them build a better life year after year.
